NC State Wooden Supercar

Who says you don't learn anything in college these days except how to apply for loans and build credit card debt? These craftsmen in North Carolina have taken green to a whole new level. They are engaged in a project to build from scratch, their own one of a kind super car, complete with a wooden exoskeleton and many wooden components. Wherever possible even the auto parts are given wooden fascias.

They have given the work of art the moniker of "Splinter". Now that is what I call an environmental engineering program! Check out the entire story starting with this post from Autoblog.com .
