You have heard it before... I LOVE concept cars. Here is another one that NEEDS to be produced.

Amelia Island 2013

Autopartstomorrow.com is based in Georgia, which also hosts arguably the most over the top refined car show on the planet. If the Kentucky Derby is the pinnacle of horse racing, Amelia Island is where you want to show off your antique 4 million dollar Rolls Royce to the world's elite automotive aficionado's. Some people may argue for Pebble Beach... I think it is this one.

This year they are celebrating what I consider to be the top American car, perhaps ever. Everyone has their own personal opinion, but in terms of overall ratings for design, beauty, speed, importance and permanence, it is hard to dispute the Ford GT40's place in history. Race cars are not typically in people's "best of" list, but if asked, most would gladly move this car to the top if they were given the keys and offered the opportunity to actually drive one.

Sweetwater Tennessee Car Show

A friend of mine was in Sweetwater, Tennessee this past weekend and stubled upon this car show downtown. While there are certainly bigger shows, with more impressive cars in places like New York, LA and Las Vegas, it remains a part of Americana for the regional car builders to bring out their personal show pieces and "share the wealth" so to speak, so that people on the fringes of the industry can get inspired to find and build their own. The car knowledge and resources that can be built just by talking to these guys about their passion is enormous. Not to mention you might be lucky enough to find one of them needing to move something to free up cash for that next project they have been eying. It never hurts to ask...
