Why Don't You Have it?

We get this question daily, multiple times a day. It is understandable really. A customer is looking for the throw out bearing for his beloved 1969 Firebird, and we advertise that we are a GM wholesaler... and his car is GM... so why don't we have every part, for every GM vehicle, at wholesale, and available for overnight shipping? Well, when it's put that way it seems understandable. It would take a warehouse that was hundreds of acres in size to even begin to approach that offering. But when it is your car, and you only need one part, for some reason we put our logical brain aside.

I do the same thing. I am willing to put some work into looking for a hard to find item, but at some point I feel that it is time to "cash in" my frustration on that last place that dashes my hopes.

At Autopartstomorrow.com we are focused on fairly late model vehicles (@ 1995 and up) and lean towards domestic brands. We are a GM and Ford wholesale warehouse distributor in our first life, and make our wholesale warehouse auto parts inventory available to the public online. One thing we are learning, and growing into, is that the public wants a wider variety of parts.

The cool thing about our website is that we are gathering sales and lost sale data daily. This info is feeding into our purchasing computers and we are finding that it makes sense to stock some items that we never would have thought of before. As an example, we are selling tons of Monroe shocks and struts, Moog suspension parts, Westar engine and transmission mounts, and our value line of brake parts and filters are exploding. Each of these lines were under-performing with our dealership customers, but now they are becoming lead sellers.

So, what does this mean for you? Well, just because we did not have it yesterday, that does not mean that we won't have it tomorrow. Successful companies are great to be a part of, and if you will stay with us while we are growing, we promise our offering of auto parts will continue to grow.
